Obituary for Timothy Sullivan
Tim (Sully) Carl Sullivan of Champaign passed away Thursday (Feb. 14, 2019) at home.
Tim was born October 11, 1956, in Decatur, IL, the son of Carl Robert and Mary Jo (Orendorff) Sullivan. His parents, as well as an infant sister, proceeded him in death. Survivors include his brother, John (Nancy) Sullivan of Mahomet; nephew, Dustin (Joey) Sullivan of Philo; niece, Callie Sullivan of Mahomet; Aunts, Susan (Gene) Cooper of Bushnell IL, Joyce (Larry) Utech of Canton, IL, and Alyce (Bruce) Webb of Chase City VA and two great-nephews, Griffin and Jonah Sullivan of Philo.
Tim enjoyed hunting morel mushrooms and fishing, and was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals.
Tim graduated from Champaign Centennial High School in 1975 and worked for SuperValu Food City for over 27 years. In more recent years he volunteered with the American Legion Post 71 of Urbana serving with the Honor Guard.
Cremation services are being provided by Illiana Cremation Society. A celebration of Tim’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Legion Post ¬71 at 107 N. Broadway, Urbana, IL 61801, in care of the Commander.
