Obituary for Thomas "Tom" Eugene White
Thomas “Tom” Eugene White, 64, passed away at 5:10 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 2018, at Green Hill Manor in Fowler, Indiana. He was surrounded by his loved ones and two favorite nurses Megan Hardin and Autim Reed.
He was born on January 21, 1953, in Watseka, Illinois. He served in the United States Marine Corp and also received his Associates Degree in Business. Tom loved to sing gospel music and write poems. He loved being a big brother to his sister Nancy and his brother Steve. His daughters were the apples of his eye and he always loved their mother Carol.
Tom is preceded in death by his brother- Steve White, mother-Dorothy White and his grandparents-Ada and Joe Kennedy and Charles and Carrie White.
Tom is survived by his father-Rev. Alfred White of Milford, Illinois, daughters- Carrie (Joe) Vessels of Fowler, Indiana and Amy (John) Allmon of Louisville, Kentucky; sister-Nancy Langellier of Kentucky; beloved aunt-Evelyn Piggush of Milford, Illinois. Tom is also survived by nine grandchildren- Brandon Kellerhals, Kelsie (James) Raschke, Jassmyn (Trenton) Fultz, Jaqlynn Ramos, Nikole Ramos, Natalie Ramos, Hannah Allmon, Melodie Ramos and Ashley Vessels. Tom also had five great-grandchildren, several nieces and one nephew.
All family and friends are invited to Tom’s Memorial Service January 13, 2018 at Cheneyville Church, Cheneyville, Illinois. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Illinois time (12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Indiana time). Funeral Service will follow with Rev. Alfred White officiating and his daughter Carrie and granddaughters singing.
The family would like to thank all the staff of Green Hill Manor for the love and compassion they showed Tom in the past 5 years up until his journey to heaven.
