Obituary for Martha Marie Ashby
Martha Marie Ashby, 78, of Champaign, passed away at 7:18 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2023, at her home.
Martha was born on October 10, 1945, in Champaign, the daughter of Grover and Clarabelle (Dyson) Warren Sr.
She is survived by her son- Michael Ashby of Champaign; nephew- Robert (Marlene) Shepherd of Tolono; niece- Shirley (Glenn) Davis of Ft. Myers, Florida; and many other nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband-Michael Ashby, two brothers- Grover and Bill Warren and two sisters- Marion Shepherd and Doren Spencer.
Martha worked for several years as a clerk at the Salvation Army, in Champaign. She loved playing cards and being with family and friends. Martha also loved going on vacations.
According to her wishes cremation rites will be arranged and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Illiana Cremation Society is assisting the family with cremation arrangements.
