Juanita was born February 17, 1943, to Russell and Lillie Johnson, at Burnham Hospital in Champaign. Juanita graduated from Unity High School. She worked as a CNA in her earlier years and became a skilled cake decorator for 40 years until her retirement.
Her main focus was always family and it showed with her passion for geneaology. When she wasn't spending time with family Juanita greatly enjoyed crocheting, listening to country music, reading and never would pass down a chance at making a new friend.
