Obituary for Joseph Ray Ford
Joseph “Joe” Ray Ford, 58, of Danville, passed away at 7:59 p.m. August 19, 2022, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.
Joe was born on July 19, 1964, in Warsaw, Indiana, the son of Bob and Laura (Summers) Ford. He married Charlotte Chamberlain on August 3, 1985, in Gallatin County, Illinois. She survives.
He is also survived by his daughter- Kendra Ford of Danville; son- Joseph Ford of Danville; three grandchildren- Macanda Pickens, Jah’Kobe Powell and Braxtyn Ford; four brothers- Bobby Ford of Florida, Jimmy Ford of Ridgeway, John Ford of Ridgeway and Jerry Ford of McLeansboro; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister- Deborah Batteese.
Joe worked as a greeter at Meijer, in Danville. He enjoyed fishing, camping and loved being with his family.
According to his wishes cremation rites will be accorded and there are not any services scheduled at this time. Illiana Cremation Society is assisting the family with the family with the cremation arrangements.
