Obituary for Dianna Marie Riddle
Diana Marie Riddle was born February 1, 1948, to Carol and Willis Riddle, in Saint Louis, Missouri. She was the 7th born out of 10 brothers and sisters.
Diana moved with her family to Chicago Illinois at the age of 5. While growing up in Chicago Diana attended Crane High School, where she met and fell in love with (Leonard Owens) who is the father of her eldest daughter Yolanda Owens. Eventually Diana gave birth to 3 more wonderful children-Edward Lewis, Julian Riddle and September Lewis.
While life was wonderful for Diana, she wanted a quieter family-oriented community to raise her children, so she settled for the quiet town of Rantoul Illinois. Diana worked as a housekeeper for many years at the Holiday Inn Hotel, where she met some of her best friends of all time. Diana eventually stopped working for Holiday Inn and began her journey with Bell Helmets, in Rantoul, where once again she continued to move and made wonderful friends they she loved and cared about (and talked about) up until the day she passed away. Diana went to be with the Lord on April 20, 2020 at 10:10 a.m. at Carle Foundation Hospital.
She is proceeded in death by her mother Carol, sisters Emily and Bobby, brothers Duddy and Jerry.
She leaves behind to mourn Yolanda Owens, Edward Lewis, Julian Riddle, September Lewis and a host of grandchildren-Devon Griffin, Braylen Lewis, Yaor and Tutu Ansa, Tiyona Winston, Joslinn Maggit and great-grandchildren. Dianna will be loved and missed by all who love you mama.
Cremation rite have been accorded by Illiana Cremation Society. Condolences may be shared with the family on her everlasting memorial page at: www.IllianaCremationSociety.com
