Obituary for Debra Lynn Rietberg
Debra Lynn Rietberg, 68, of Danville, passed away at 11:28 p.m., Tuesday, December 17, 2018, at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center, in Danville.
Debra was born on September 6, 1950, in Danville, the daughter of Jimmie H. and Betty Rose (Bryant) Wasson. She is survived by her step-father- Jimmie Wasson of Danville; one daughter- Cynthia Sue (William) Smith of Danville; two sons- Jeffery Lee (Susan) Bryant and Robert Douglas Rietberg both of Danville; two grandchildren- Angela Lynn Bryant and Tyler James Bryant; one brother- Walter Johnson of Danville; and three grand-puppies- Buddy, Alice and Montana.
She was preceded in death by her mother-Betty Wasson.
Debra graduated from Danville High School. She worked as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service, in Champaign, for several years until her retirement. She enjoyed dancing and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
According to her wishes cremation rites will be accorded. A Memorial Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. Sunday, December 23, 2018, at the Tilton Community Center, 612 West 5th Street, Tilton, Illinois. The family has entrusted the Illiana Cremation Society to assist them in honoring Mrs. Rietberg’s life.
