Obituary for Chuck Rawdin
MATTOON — Chuck Rawdin, 73, of Mattoon, IL, passed away on November 20, 2023, after lengthy illnesses' due to Agent Orange.
He was born on April 16, 1950, to Phillip L. and Agnes M. (Bartimus) Rawdin in Stewardson, IL. He married Deborah K. Hite on December 2, 1969, in Coles County.
A memorial service will be held in the Spring.
Chuck was a Vietnam veteran and was retired from the General Electric Company after 34 years. He also owned rental property in the Mattoon area.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Deborah; a son, Michael Rawdin; a daughter, Tammy (Ken) Helm; and two grandchildren whom he adopted: Dariah Rawdin, and Dolph (Ellie) Rawdin; a sister, Jennie Wright of Delphi, IN; and a brother, John (Kay) Rawdin of Atwood, IL; grandchildren: Brittney (Mark) Blume, Briar (Allison) Smith, Holly (Chris) Houser, Ivan Rawdin, Jaden Batchellor, Marilynn, Olivia and Graysyn Jackson; great-grandchildren: Kinley and Luke Blume, Tucker Smith, and Jadelynn, Jackson and Archer Houser.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and sister, Waneta Hall.
