Carolyn had a beautiful soul. She served faithfully for many years at the Church of the Holy Spirit in Lake Forest, in the Children’s Choir and Senior Choir, and as an acolyte.
Carolyn had a beautiful mind. She was knowledgeable beyond her years in a broad variety of topics, from math and science, politics and religion, to arts and music. She was an accomplished singer, as well as a pianist and oboist.
And Carolyn had a beautiful heart. She was kind and caring to friends, family and community, with active demonstrations of love, be it a handknit prayer shawl, homemade chocolate raspberry cupcakes, or a mended sweater. Her favorite phrases were “You Do You” and “It Brings Me Joy”!
She is survived by her parents, brother, grandparents Walter Moy and Hope Shimabukuro, aunts and uncles Janice (Bruce McGregor) and Carol (James Gwinner) Moy and Lisa (Ray Morales), Marc (Kathy), Bert (Mayumi), and Paul (April) Shimabukuro. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Miranda Moy and Edwin Shimabukuro.
She is deeply missed by her family and friends, who are grateful for the love and joy she brought into our lives.
